Electrical Contractors
Approved Part P Contractors are legally able to self certify that
their work complies with electrical regulations and Building
regulations and can therefore save their
customers the expense and inconvenience of having to
notify
their LABC (Local Area Building Control).
Approved Part P Contractors are assessed annually by
recognised government appointed scheme holders. Contractors
have proven they are both able and qualified to design,
install
and test
electrical wiring so that it complies with both electrical
regulations and Building Regulations.
Approved Part P Contractors have proven in their annual
assessment that they have the
correct tools
and calibrated test equipment as well as having other things like
public
liability insurance, risk assessment procedures, health and safety
policies and complaints procedures etc, etc.
